Our next Kidical Mass ride is on Sunday 20th September The ride will be from Portslade to Apple Day at Stanmer Park via five other start points Join us for this family-friendly mass cycle ride, with music, to the annual Apple Day event at Stanmer Park, starting at the new Brighton Bike Hub – Portslade on St Peter’s Rd, with pick-up points along the way.The ride will be supported by our team of experienced ride marshals. Participants are invited to decorate bikes with flags (some available at start points). Join at any of the following start points: 12:00 for 12:15 departure, Brighton Bike Hub – Portslade, St Peter’s Road, Portslade 12:10 for 12:25 departure, Hove Lagoon 12:20 for 12:35 departure, the Peace Statue 12:30 for 12:45 departure, the Palace Pier 12:45 for 13:00 departure, The Level (playground) 13:00 for 13:15 departure, Moulscoombe Library 13:45 – ARRIVAL AT STANMER PARK RETURN RIDE from Stanmer Village, departing 16:00 Kidical Mass is a free community event, part of a global movement, to celebrate and promote those who want to get around our cities by bike, especially children – who represent our future. On this ride we will also be celebrating the newly opened Valley Garden 3 cycle lane through the Old Steine. The event is organised jointly by Brighton Bike Hub & Bricycles. ALL WELCOME Jointly organised by Brighton Bike Hub & Bricycles, this is a fully safety-stewarded and free event for people of all ages to ride safely on our streets and call for a city where everyone can use cycling to get around securely and independently. This ride will focus on Hove, with two feeder rides setting off at 2:00pm from four locations: Hove Park Wish Park Hove Cemetery Stoneham Park By 2:45pm we will all converge at the Peace Statue on the seafront to ride together in a loop around town (you can also join the ride here). At 4:00pm the ride will finish back at the Peace Statue. Bring costumes, flags, bells, whistles and an adult if you’re under 16! Children who are active by bike and on foot from an early age remain so as adults. Kidical Mass bicycle demonstrations, each spring and autumn, paint a positive picture of the future and make change toward active travel tangible. At Brighton Bike Hub we work with Bricycles and other local projects to bring Kidical Mass onto the streets of Brighton & Hove every September and April. Six rides to date 23rd September 2023 over 300 attended our first KM ride. 28th April 2024, was even more popular, with over 400 joining 22nd September 2024, in spite of a wet weather forecast, was joined by over 200. 27th April 2025 21st September 2025 26th April 2026 Can you help us out on our September 2026 ride?
